The GiriVentures Club is open to all mountain lovers. Our members are found throughout the India and include some legendary mountaineers, explorers and people who have contributed immensely to studying the Himalaya.
Since our focus is on the Himalaya, we naturally prefer to have our members with some experience of visiting the Himalaya. We have four categories of membership – honorary, associate, active and youth. The first category is by invitation.
Membership Qualifications
Applicants are expected to have experience of at least one visits to the Himalayan/Karakoram/Hindu Kush ranges either for climbing, trekking, exploration or special studies with Giriventure team. Alternative experience in other mountain ranges will be favourably considered and the committee in the case of deserving overseas applicants may relax this requirement.
Anyone who may not have fulfilled the criteria for full membership may apply for associate membership that can be converted to full membership after meeting the above requirements.
Youth Member:To become an Youth Member, you will have had at least one trip to the Himalayan or two trip in Sahyadri region with Giriventure Team. Youth Members should normally qualify for associate within 3 years or so and may apply to be upgraded when they have reach the Full Member standard.

Associate Member:Individuals who have an interest in the mountains and wish to benefit from the other activities of the Club may become Associates of our Club. Our Associates have interests in mountain history, art, ecology, preservation of the environment, geography and geology and make an important contribution to the body of knowledge and the legacy we maintain.

Active Member: Active members have voting rights at the club's Annual General Meeting, and may be members of the club Executive.

Honorary Member: Another celebrated member grade is the Honorary Member. These are the highest honor bestowed by the Society.
These are reserved for individuals (members or non members of the Society) whose support of, and/or contributions to, the advancement of the adventure sports. These Members are exempt from payment of dues has all the rights and privileges enjoyed by all other grades of membership.
